So I decided to watch some Leafs videos (mostly the vids by Steve Dangle) and I’m just so happy right now. I’m not upset at all because I see all this footage of the fans and Maple Leafs Square and I can’t help but be happy about how united this city became in those seven games.
When I think about it, I just think back to all the Leafs jerseys just in my school. Not a lot of people watch hockey at my school, and I don’t care if they were bandwagoners, but a lot of people took the time to pull out old jerseys and wear them with pride to school and I absolutely love that! People saw me when I was walking down the hall in my Lupul jersey and they would actually tell me “Go Leafs Go” no matter if they were a fan or not and it was really nice. And those games honestly brought together this city (for me anyway) and I hope we’ve gained more fans that will stick around and watch how awesome the Leafs can be for next season.
